Pandemic Challenges Bring Success to Information and Cyber Security Consultancy

Despite the challenges of the last 18 months one information security firm, Advent IM Ltd, has seen massive growth as the move to remote and hybrid working increases demands on cyber security teams in the public and private sectors.

Not only has the company, a specialist in providing cyber security risk, policy, compliance and training services, seen a massive growth in revenue during difficult times, it has also expanded its team and continues to recruit to meet demand in services.

The enforced lockdown restrictions and call to work from home has also enabled the firm to reap continued productivity and efficiency rewards with staff embracing the work life balance this approach offers.

As a result, Advent IM has downsized from its large corporate offices in Coombs Wood, Halesowen and returned home to the place it all started, Cradley Enterprise Centre.  The centre is now the hub for Advent’s new Hybrid working model enabling staff the option of remote or office working to suit lifestyle and mental health needs.

To celebrate the company’s success, James Morris MP will officially open the new Advent IM office on Friday 10th September.

As Managing Director, Mike Gillespie explains “This relocation and downsize has enabled Advent IM to significantly reduce our property costs, releasing money that is now ringfenced for further company growth as we embark on another round of recruitment this Autumn, creating jobs around the country with our increased flexibility”.
