The type of personal information we collect

The Personal Data we collect comprises your first name, last name, company name, email address and job title and we will continue to process your information until such time you tell us otherwise.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

You do not have to give us your information to have access to our website content.

We collect your information only if you have signed up to marketing emails such as our newsletter or have registered an interest in our services via the Contact Us page on the website.

Advent IM treats all data that identifies an individual as personal data and Advent IM is the Controller of the data that you provide to us.  This means we control what happens to the data in our possession.

No other 3^rd parties have access to your data, and all of your data is processed on a server in the UK.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing Personal Data are:

• Your consent. You are able to remove this consent at any time. You can do this by contacting DPO@advent-im.co.uk.
• We have a legitimate interest (business development).

How we store your information

Your Personal Data is securely stored.

If at any point you believe the information we process about you is incorrect, you can request to see this information and have it corrected or deleted.  If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer at DPO@advent-im.co.uk

Retention of Personal Data

The period for which we will store Personal Data is based on our need to fulfil our legitimate interest (business development). If you (or the company/organization you represent) becomes a customer of Advent IM Ltd, typically we will process your Personal Data for up to 3 years after the date of the last purchase, at which point we will securely delete it.

If you (or your company/organization) does not become a customer, typically we will process it for up to 3 years before we destroy it or delete your Personal Data from the contact details of the relevant records we hold for your company/organization.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

• Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
• Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

• Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
• Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
• Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
