Course Outline

This tailored training course will cover both the principles of information risk management and information assurance and several desktop scenario based exercises to test and improve your understanding of managing information security incidents and information risk challenges in this area. At the end of the training, you will have the confidence to deal with information assurance incidents should they occur within your Force.

• The current threat landscape to UK and Police information and ICT systems
• The principles of information assurance and information risk management and the importance of governance and leadership
• Mandatory IA roles and their responsibilities
• Managing and responding to information security incidents
